What Do Casa Victoria and Mardi Gras Have In Common?
/Before colorful beads, elaborate masks, and ostentatious floats, Mardi Gras was known as the last day you could indulge on rich and fatty foods before Lent fasting began. Makes sense that Mardi Gras translates to “fat tuesday”.
Today, Mardi Gras is more like the single person’s answer to Valentine’s Day. Who needs teddy bears and chocolates when you have glitter, costumes, and debauchery? It’s no wonder that the festival’s slogan is "laissez les bons temps rouler" (let the good times roll).
To get into the festive spirit, we thought it would fun to showcase four of our brightest lamps that just so happen to be yellow, one of the three official colors of Mardi Gras. Call us at 323-644-5590 to see if any of the items below are still available.
