The feeling you get walking into a vintage furniture shop is much like the feeling you use to get when stepping in to a candy store as a kid. The colorful sugary confections could turn any bad day into a brighter one. The only problem you were faced with at that moment was having to narrow down how exactly you would spend your last dime; gum drops, licorice, or taffy, that was the question. Not much has changed since then, has it? This vintage Murano chandelier with metal cage design was completely hand crafted. Murano glass is exclusively made on the Venetian island of Murano. The artisans of Murano are known for employing centuries-old techniques.

This vintage french style chandelier has an iron frame with a gold leaf finish. Chandelier has a variety of crystals and beads with varying shapes. There are twenty candelabra lights and one upward facing light in the center.

Stone's Throw Away | Marbro Murano Glass Lamp

Those who live in Murano glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Who would want to risk breaking such beautifully crafted Venetian glass? This Venetian glass lamp, made by Marbro,  was handblown from Murano glass and overlaid with metal grill work. The Marbro Lamp Company was started in LA by Morris Markoff and his brothers after WWII. Most of the lamps they made were one of a kind and took anywhere from 70-90 days to make. Marbro only hired the most experienced artisans so many of their employees were over 50 years of age.
