SOLD | Dove Tailing | Mid-Century Lane Coffee Table Made of Walnut and Oak

A dove tail joint is used in woodworking to fasten two joints together without a metal fastener. Instead, the joints are interlocked with great precision. The edge of this table has been dovetailed to the center of the table flawlessly. This mid-century coffee table by Lane is part of the Acclaim series and is made of walnut and oak. Each dowel leg has a metal cap. You won't believe this but we recently found this exact same table at a competitor's site for $2800. We don't want to name names but if you are in the mood for a chuckle, google the words "first" "dibs" and you might just find them.

Sooner or Lather

Center Piece

This Hacienda style coffee table is made of solid turned-wood. The art of wood turning dates back to 1300BC when Egyptians first developed a two-person lathe.  One person would turn the wood with a rope while the other used a sharp tool to cut shapes in the wood. Now and days the lathe is motorized, allowing turned items to be created in less time.

This table would be great in a sitting room, surrounded by a comfortable sectional with fluffy pillows. It is a great centerpiece for the people you center your life around.  Includes sturdy glass top.
