This Hacienda style coffee table is made of solid turned-wood. The art of wood turning dates back to 1300BC when Egyptians first developed a two-person lathe.  One person would turn the wood with a rope while the other used a sharp tool to cut shapes in the wood. Now and days the lathe is motorized, allowing turned items to be created in less time.

This table would be great in a sitting room, surrounded by a comfortable sectional with fluffy pillows. It is a great centerpiece for the people you center your life around.  Includes sturdy glass top.

Cannons Away

History Buff

Spanish cannon were first used by the Moors in the 13th century. Ironically, the first artillery masters weren't employed  in Spain until the Christian Kings of Spain came to power. Cannons were used aboard Spanish galleons and in forts in the the Americas.

These vintage cannon bookends were handcrafted in Spain. The wooden cannons even move up and down. They would make a great gift for a history buff.
