The story of Thomasville began in Thomasville, North Carolina, in 1904. During this time, Thomasville only offered one product – a chair. The chair was so popular that people responded by asking them to create other pieces as well.

This vintage Thomasville dresser has nine drawers. It is made of solid wood, has a cabinet front and brutal hardware.  One of the drawers includes a valet tray for keys, coins, and a watch.

The art of wood turning dates back to 1300BC when Egyptians first developed a two-person lathe.  One person would turn the wood with a rope while the other used a sharp tool to cut shapes in the wood. Now and days the lathe is motorized, allowing turned items to be created in less time.
